Fund Accountant

About the Company:
Our client, a market leading private equity real estate firm, is looking for a Fund Accountant to focus on one of their premier real estate investment funds.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain fund level general ledger accounting
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual fair value financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including using dividend income and equity methods of accounting and assisting with complex consolidations of real estate funds
- Coordination and review of property level reports
- Prepare quarterly cash flow reports
- Prepare investor capital calls and distributions
- Prepare investor reports and respond to investor’s questions
- Prepare and review debt covenant compliance reports
- Prepare and maintain waterfall models in accordance with partnership agreements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-3 years accounting experience, financial reporting and general ledger; real estate industry experience a plus
- Either Big 4 background or straight fund accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
Salary Range:
$70,000 – $85,000
