About the Company:
Our client, one of the world’s leading hedge funds, is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This role will be dynamic responsible for corporate accounting for the management company in addition to a variety of finance and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accounting for general partner entities which includes complex partner allocations.
- Supervision and support to one direct report thought partnership/leadership to the team
- Lead budget and forecasting processes; liaise with budget owners including members of every vertical within the business
- Participate in projects to implement, test, and design enhancements and upgrades to ERP/general ledger system
- Prepare expense related investor reporting
- Perform complex expense allocations and analyses
- Provide senior management with regular and ad hoc expense reporting
- Proactively identify process and reporting improvements; drive change
- Lead special projects within finance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- 6 years of relevant experience in a private financial services firm; hedge fund preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and connect the dots across multiple areas
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including heavy use of pivot tables
- Ability to mine, organize and synthesize data, identifying key information
- Experience working with an ERP/general ledger system, knowledge of Agresso is a plus
Salary Range:
$110,000 – $140,000
