About the Company:
Our client is a luxury consumer products company looking to hire an Assistant Controller who will lead and manage the entire period-end financial close process and will help design and implement efficiencies to support the growing needs of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting of all transactions under US GAAP
- Implement industry standard best practices across new and existing workflows while focusing on optimization and the reduction of manual processes
- Establish and implement effective controls over the accounting, closing, and reporting processes
- Assist with strategic planning and implementation of department and company-wide initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with business leaders
- Lead company through financial statement audit with Big 4 firm
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 7-9 years of private and public accounting experience
- CPA license required
- Experience working with inventory in the retail or ecommerce space
- A strong knowledge of current GAAP standards
Salary Range:
$130,000-$150,000
