Equity Compensation Associate

About the Company:
Our client is a financial and real estate services firm with customers operating on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains the firm’s Equity Compensation master files along with calculation of monthly amortization and forfeitures, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and related procedures
- Prepares the Compensation footnote for all 10-Q/10-K filings and assists SEC reporting team with any related compensation disclosures
- Assists regulatory reporting team with monthly broker/dealer FOCUS reports
- Provides monthly reconciliations to substantiate balances disclosed
- Coordinate with other departments firmwide as well as with global regional finance teams to provide timely and accurate reporting of segment/entity compensation information
- Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, evaluate adequacy of expense accruals, resolving issues, and escalate key items to management timely
- Responsible for interacting with internal and external auditors on a regular basis
Requirements:
- 2-4 years in an accounting role; financial services experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field
- Advanced analytical and Excel capabilities and project management skills
