About the Company: 

Our client is an investment firm with over $13 billion in AUM dedicated to the healthcare industry. They invest in life sciences companies, medical device companies, digital health, and more from the start-up phase to fully developed companies. The Assistant Manager of Conferences and Events will partner with the Events Manager on the planning, directing, and coordinating of all events and conferences at the firm and firms properties.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure a high-touch, top-tier experience is delivered to clients and guests at all functions
  • Manage associated budgets for various events and conferences
  • Act as the point person with in-house catering team to manage the ordering and servicing of food and beverage for conferences, meetings, special events, and visiting guests
  • Anticipate problems and barriers to hosting successful meetings and events and proactively recommend solutions
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, staff, or guests, maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in the hospitality industry and apply knowledge to continuously improve meeting and event experiences
  • Manage all facility related event support, including responsibility for coordinating set-up and breakdown of spaces, cleaning needs, etc. for events

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or relevant degree
  • 5-8 years of event management experience particularly large corporate conferences and events
  • Experience marketing, selling, cross-selling space
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and shift priorities quickly
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend and implement solutions

 

Salary Range: 

$80,000-$100,000
