About the Company:

Our client, a New York- based alternative asset management firm is looking for a Manager to join the growing company. This position will be responsible for assisting in the creation and successful and accurate completion of required financials statements and SEC filing documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for conducting the external financial reporting process which includes drafting the MD&A, preparing footnotes to the consolidated US GAAP financial statements using Workiva (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc),
  • Completion of disclosure checklists to ensure Company compliance with SEC reporting requirements
  • Prepare cash flow statement and review equity roll forward
  • Ensure timely delivery of financial information to the SEC executive management, the board of directors, our lenders and other relevant parties (including management of XBRL)
  • Responsible for preparation of the financial statements, footnotes and related disclosures
  • Coordinate the quarterly reviews and annual audit procedures performed by our external auditor, including responding to auditor information requests, providing supporting workpapers and discussing significant fluctuations
  • Assist with the preparation of executive management materials and other presentations
  • Ensure effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Prepare technical accounting memos on a variety of financial reporting topics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, CPA required
  • 7+ years of experience, public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience drafting SEC required disclosures including those required for forms: S-1s S-4s, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and MD&As
  • Knowledge of SEC filing requirements
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP financial statements for alternative investments

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $200,000 plus bonus
