About the company:
Our client is a leading hedge fund with $8 billion in AUM. They have offices in Dallas, New York, London and Charlottesville. They are hiring a Network Engineer sit in Dallas and will pay for relocation bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and support their network infrastructure and next-generation firewalls
- Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
- Perform scheduled network maintenance and system upgrades
- Provide level 2/3 support and share in the 24 x 7 support responsibilities for their hybrid (on-prem and cloud based) international network
- Work within established change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Perform product evaluations and develop business use case proposals
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Apply infrastructure as code principles to the network configurations utilizing tools like Ansible and Terraform
Requirements:
- 3+ years Network Engineer experience
- Strong Palo Alto firewall support experience
- Cisco router/switch experience
- Experience with VPN IPSEC site-to-site tunnels
- Seeks efficiencies through automation of routine tasks and configurations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to distill technical information to C-level
- Proven advanced troubleshooting methodology and problem-solving skills
Pluses:
- CCNA or CCNP
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server or Linux Server
- Professional experience using Ansible with Cisco configurations
- Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
Salary Range:
$120,000- $180,000
