About the Company:

This alternative Asset Management firm is an employee owned hedge fund and private equity sponsor. The firm primarily provides its services to pooled investment vehicles. It invests in the public equity markets across the globe with a focus on global emerging markets. The firm employs long/short equity strategy to make its investments. It was founded in 2011 and has grown 500% in AUM since their launch.  The employer is expanding the accounting/operations team to cover new product launches – however the organization remains flat and the position will provide the candidate with exposure to all aspects of the finance functions and the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Controller, the candidate will have day to day responsibility for all aspects of fund reporting, as well as managing wider operations and finance processes. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Assist with portfolio/financial reporting and accounting
  • Work with administrator to reconcile real estate, hedge fund and private equity fund transactions and activity
  • Produce reports and statements for investors
  • Assist with valuation of Fund’s investments, leveling and verification of support; support investment team with gathering and analysis of valuation support to support funds’ valuation requirements (i.e. appraisals, debt valuations, cash flow analysis, etc.)

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of Big 4 or National Auditing experience
  • High Ratings
  • Strong GPA’s
  • Accounting degree required
