About the Company:
Our client is a $500 million boutique private equity firm with a global opportunistic investment strategy and is seeking to hire a Fund Accountant to work directly for the CFO. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for every non-investment activity of the fund including fund accounting, investor relations, fund operations, valuations, management company and tax.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with quarterly financial statement close process
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit
- Assist with tax reporting, including K-1 preparation and review
- Monitor expense budgets, allocations and accruals
- Perform valuation of private investments
- Assist team members in responding to investor requests
- Perform ongoing management company accounting functions
- Identify weaknesses and inefficiencies in existing processes and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2-5 years of experience in public accounting, fund administration or out of a direct fund
- Knowledge of private equity fund accounting and/or management company
- CPA a plus
Salary Range:
$80,000 – $95,000
