About the Company:
Our client, a well-known non-for-profit connected with a specific professional sports league, is seeking to hire a Controller to help run the accounting/finance function for the organization. This individual will oversee key accounting functions, manage a staff of 5+ accountants, and advise on multiple key matters related to accounting/technology.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the financial reporting process and the general and sub-ledgers, as well as record keeping and expense reporting
- Ownership of the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Administration and oversight of all accounting and financial information systems
- Preparation and presentation of analytical reviews and analyses to senior management
- Lead annual audit process and coordination with external auditors
- Lead annual budget process, attend/present at board and other meetings, as necessary
- Provide special reports and assistance on special projects, as requested
- Interact with players, vendors, and customers
- Management of consultants on projects related to the accounting and other finance related information systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or similar certification required
- 10-18 Years of total accounting experience
- Public accounting experience highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a Controller position
- Experience with intacct a plus
Salary Range:
$200,000 – $250,000
