About the Company:
Our client is a leading e-commerce platform connecting consumers to health, beauty, and wellness brands on online marketplaces. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on Long Island.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Prepare asset, liability, revenue, expense, and reconciling entries
- Play a vital part in the Company’s financial management which includes maintaining various accounting schedules, ensuring accurate calculations, all account reconciliations, and reporting to necessary parties
- Manage general ledger and trial balance
- Work with the finance team to ensure timely closing of books on a monthly and annual basis
- Assist Controller with the preparation of reports and schedules for External Audits, Tax preparation, and Board of Director Meetings
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the preparation of financial statements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 3+ years experience in general accounting or public accounting
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and GAAP
- Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and other applications related to finance and accounting
Salary Range:
$75,000-$100,000
