Fund Accounting Associate

About the Company:
Our client is an investment management company within the private equity marketplace and public equities. They are known for the development for high yields bonds in the market and are based near Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate tracking, processing, communication, and accounting for commitments, capital calls, distributions/realizations, rates of return, expense and income allocations, and ownership percentages
- Review and interpret outside financial information, including fund/subscription documents to ensure financial terms are aligned with investment team expectations and are accounted for in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and analyze GAAP-compliant fund and investment company financial statements across a myriad of entities, including applicable note disclosures and supporting schedules
- Facilitate the distribution of and communication around K-1s and other tax documents with key internal stakeholders and investors
- Assist in the daily execution of a robust system of internal controls
- Operationalize solutions to enhance, optimize and/or automate recurring accounting activities, including the implementation of any related software
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of public accounting with a focus in financial services or fund administration experience
- Strong MS Office Suite skills
- Working knowledge of fund accounting software packages
Salary Range:
$90,000-$110,000
