About the Company:
Our client is a premier hedge fund with over $10 billion in AUM with investments in equities, derivatives, and fixed income. The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day investment operations, maintenance of accounting records, and preparation of reports pertaining to investment trusts and underlying investments.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting of trust investment activity and performance to management and trustees
- Investment mix will be primarily in the alternative asset space with exposure to venture and growth private equity, real estate, crypto, hedge funds, and credit
- Proactively review cash liquidity and recommend potential pipeline investments for various trusts based on risk profiles
- Involvement in the design and documentation of complex accounting transactions, tax structures, and estate planning considerations
- Coordination with trustees for deal review and approvals
- Coordination of cash activity between trust administrators and underlying investment entities
- Preparation of a variety of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4 years of accounting experience in the financial services industry
- Be familiar with the accounting and operational issues associated with investment advisers, hedge funds, and financial products
- Ability to interact with accounting systems and extract and manipulate data
Salary Range:
$90,000-$130,000
