About the Company:
One of our largest global real estate clients is looking to hire a Network Engineer to sit at their NYC HQ to support all the nearby building’s networking issues. This is a technical, hands-on position that requires experience with Cisco networks. The role will also require light project management and oversight of a Junior Network Engineer. This position will report to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain campus wide Cisco enterprise infrastructure, including converged networks, wireless, and building systems
- Interact with internal and external teams responsible for the integration of disparate hardware and software systems
- Ensure the continued operation of existing infrastructure to support a variety of systems and services including, but not limited to Wi-Fi, HVAC/Energy, Access Control, Firewalls, Routers/Switches, Cabling, Fibers, Elevators, Life Safety Systems, Turnstiles, Voice, and Facial Recognition
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer in a Cisco environment
- Expert in supporting wireless/public wi-fi, LAN/WAN protocols and technologies (EIGRP, HSRP, VRF, VPC, etc.)
- Advanced with switching and routing technologies, including 9k, 7k, and 5k network fabrics
- Knowledge and understanding of:
- VoIP/QoS design and deployment
- Layer 1 infrastructure (fiber, copper, RF)
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure, best practices, and principles
- Best practices for firewalls
- Project management skills
- Great communication skills, can work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Pluses:
- Experience working with building systems
- CCNA, CCNP, or other Cisco certification
Salary Range:
$110,000-$125,000
