About the Company:

Our client is a social media tech firm with a team of 40+ people globally and currently has Series B funding. They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer who can help grow the US team and build the technical infrastructure and product that will empower the firm to scale to 100M+ users.

Responsibilities: 

• Help build a strong architecture that can support massive scale as they grow to new users and new countries
• Collaborate with product and engineering team to build new features for the app
• Evaluate trade-offs and technical challenges on key components of their backend
• Participate in code and design reviews

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficient programming capabilities in any backend language, ideally NodeJS or open to learning NodeJS
• Experience in designing complex and highly scalable software architecture
• Background working within startup environments and/or big tech, ability to wear multiple hats

Salary Range:

$225,000-$275,000
