Tax Analyst

About the Company:
Our client is a leading alternative investment manager with $40 billion in AUM. The firm invests in middle markets for private equity and portfolio companies. The Tax Analyst will have ownership of a wide range of functions covering domestic and international tax compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statements and perform security/debt investment analysis to determine the proper tax treatment and tax adjustments
- Compile tax data and assist in provision of reports and work papers to tax preparer in support of the federal, state, and foreign income tax returns
- Collaborate with the firms outside tax preparer and fund administrator for tax reporting
- Review tax information and workpaper compiled by outside tax preparer and fund administrator
- Perform interim year partnership projections and allocations to assist the fund’s investors and the firm’s partners with making quarterly estimated tax payments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm
- Knowledge of private equity or hedge fund structures a must
- Knowledge of private fund tax accounting concepts including partnership tax accounting a must
- Strong Excel skills
