About the Company:
Our client is a global asset management firm with over $26 billion in AUM and invests in multiple asset classes such as long/short equity, global macro investments, and private investments. The Cloud Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting the firm’s private/public clouds as well as servers and technologies that are on-premises.
Responsibilities:
- Implement cloud automation techniques, and create and manage existing processes through scripting and Infrastructure as Code based solutions
- Create and maintain dashboards and alerts in existing monitoring tools to identify issues and ensure timely support response
- Create routine processes around cloud cost management and optimization and perform follow-ups with account owners
- Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures to support incident resolution and ongoing operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure-related issues, including networking, security, and performance within a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment
- Track and follow up on action items identified through root cause analysis following major incidents through problem management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience working as a cloud system administrator
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts such as, GIT, BitBucket/, Github, Ansible, and Terraform
- Strong experience with AWS S3 and creating and managing bucket policies
- Proficiency in shell languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell for automation and task scripting
- Experience with system monitoring and log analysis tools
