Accounting Analyst

About the Company:
Our client is an alternative asset management firm focusing on investing in structured credit, special situations, and asset-based finance. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for AP/AR functions and vendor management functions for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries in support of month-end activities
- Prepare vendor invoices into the firms accounting software
- Process weekly payment requests and employee reimbursements
- Process mail for the accounting department
- Prepare 1099 filings on an annual basis
- Assist with yearly corporate audits conducted by external auditors
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting
- Prior experience in public accounting a plus
- Experience with Expensify and Sage Intacct preferred
Salary Range:
$80,000-$100,000
