About the Company:
Our client is an alternative asset management firm investing in the private equity, credit, and real estate space, with distressed funds expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Review daily P&L calculations on broker-dealer inventory positions
- Ensure proper accounting treatment is applied to all secondary trading transactions
- Assist with quarterly external reporting
- Assist in the annual audit process, prepare financial statements, liaise with auditors, and work with compliance team on required year-end filings
- Maintain a strong SOX controls environment and ensure proper documentation
- Review front-end system inventory on daily basis
- Review detailed balance sheet and income statement variance
- Ensure contract compliance with the administrator and the clearing firm
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 8-12 years of related accounting experience
- Broker-dealer and SEC Rule 15c3-1 experience required
- Series 27 license required
- Experience with using Bloomberg terminal a plus
Salary Range:
$155,000-$185,000
