Payroll Specialist

About the Company:
Our client is a global alternative investment firm employing a multi-manager model, allocating capital across a broad array of independent teams with diverse strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-monthly expatriate and shadow payrolls in system
- Coordinate with international payroll department and HR in the collection and transmittal of key data to produce payroll
- Prepare and load data into payroll system
- Prepare audit reports and reconciliations to support the validation and finalization of payroll
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reconciliations, maintain system tax setup, complete state/local tax registrations and process quarterly amendments
- Work with third party vendor to track, research and resolve tax notices
- Support new hire, expat, and secondee payroll setup tasks including auditing employee state/local set-up, collection of tax forms, and answering employee inquiries
- Respond to employee inquiries for payroll related issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3-6 years of multi-state payroll experience
- Experience using Workday for payroll required
- Experience with Global Mobility concepts and/or processing of business travelers
- Familiar with reading and interpreting tax legislation
Salary Range:
$90,000-$110,000
