Tax Specialist

About the Company: 

Our client is a technology driven, multi-asset investment firm operating on a global scale. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for overseeing US tax compliance for partnerships, tax estimates and distributions, indirect taxes, tax research, and various planning projects.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare tax return workpapers, M-1s, and allocations
  • Maintain and review partnership allocations, 743/734 adjustments, and maintain partnership tax capital accounts
  • Assist in calculating quarterly tax estimates and partner distributions
  • Review partnership tax returns and K-1s prepared by third-party service providers
  • Provide support for tax compliance including sales and use tax, VAT, GST
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting partnerships

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 4-6 years of related tax experience
  • Experience with partnership taxation required
  • Proficient in preparing partnership allocations, tax adjustments, and workpapers
  • Ability to perform a detailed review of Form 1065 and Schedules K-1 and K-3
  • Experience with Workday as an accounting system preferred
  • Familiarity with indirect tax compliance and planning strategies preferred

 

Salary Range: 

$120,000 – $160,000
