About the Company:
Our client is a business transition advisory platform focused on helping small and mid-sized business owners prepare for succession or exit. The firm supports operational cleanup, financial organization, and value enhancement to position businesses for a successful sale or handoff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead migration of legacy accounting systems to cloud-based platforms and optimize chart of accounts for enhanced reporting clarity
- Implement modern financial operations including third-party integrations, automated workflows, and GAAP-compliant processes
- Manage comprehensive accounting functions including month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Provide strategic advisory services to drive EBITDA improvements and increase enterprise value for small business clients
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to document and standardize financial workflows for future AI automation
- Manage and mentor staff accountants while developing standardized processes and workflows for the CFO Services practice
- Support the deal team throughout the transaction process by providing financial due diligence analysis and ensuring transaction readiness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industrial SMB financial operations
- Big 4 experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Experience in system migrations and financial optimization
- Prior experience serving small-to-medium business clients a plus
- Strong understanding of small business financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and cash flow management
Salary Range:
$130,000-$150,000
