About the Company:
Our client is a leading manager of investments and assets in the financial service and real estate space. The Accounting Manager will have exposure to the technical accounting surrounding the financial products in the portfolio with direct exposure to the front office and senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Review certain portions of the monthly and quarterly accounting close as a member of the accounting controllership team
- Assist in reviewing and coordinating the monthly results package for the CFO
- Assist in ad hoc projects, including supporting the financial reporting team in all aspects of technical accounting research, peer comparison disclosures, acquisition/divestitures and due diligence activities
- Assist in reviewing slides for the quarterly investor deck and other ad-hoc presentations
- Assist in coordinating and preparing material sections of the SEC Form 10-Q/K filings
- Assist in researching and implementing new U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Assist in the review of annual and interim stand-alone financial statements for certain subsidiaries
- Assist with ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
- At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience in financial services
- Experience with GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in financial services
- Superior analytical and quantitative skills
- CPA license required
Salary Range:
$130,000-$160,000
