About the Company:
Our client is a specialized asset manager that focuses on unique, non-correlated investment opportunities in the media and entertainment sector.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial, structured finance, and three-statement operating models as well as investment valuations
- Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, structured finance, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies’ analyses
- Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, offering materials
- Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company, product, and industry research
- Participate in due diligence sessions
- Communicate and interact with deal team members, investment committee, partners and investors
- Manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, research, private equity, commercial banking, consulting, or related fields
- An in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of accounting and financial statement analysis, and hands-on experience with financial modeling and corporate valuation analysis
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of capital markets and structured products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
- Strong educational background with coursework in finance and accounting
- Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint
- Enthusiastic team player
- Assertive mindset with a willingness to show initiative, leadership, and strong work ethic
- Currently living in New York, or willing to relocate
