Assistant Controller

About the Company:
Our client, a registered investment manager is looking for an Assistant Controller. The qualified candidate will be involved in all operational and financial aspects of the real estate private equity and co-investment funds.
Responsibilities:
- Developing sound fund controls to ensure timely execution of investor deliverables and lender deliverables
- Policy/procedure development & documentation
- Support deal closings, structuring, and entity formation
- Ongoing deal contribution and distribution tracking
- Cash forecasting & liquidity analysis
- Coordinate all cash movements
- Coordinate quarterly and year-end valuations and manage the auditors
- Coordination with fund administrator for fund financials & PCAPs
- Liaising with tax preparers on blocker distributions and associated withholding
- Coordinating tax returns and K1 prep
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of experience in accounting & operations within the asset management industry
- Ideally focus on closed-end fund structures in the real estate sector
- Experience in management company accounting, partnership accounting and tax
- CPA is a plus
Salary Range:
$150,000 – $225,000
