About the Company: 

Our client is a global alternative asset manager specializing in multi-strategy investing, focusing on areas such as credit, real estate, and institutional equities.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the daily accounting, operations, and financial reporting functions
  • Review property records to ensure proper consolidation in compliance with GAAP
  • Manage the monthly NAV and close process in compliance with reporting deadlines and internal controls
  • Coordinate property consolidation with third-party administration
  • Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly GAAP financial statements for SEC financial reporting
  • Research and prepare technical accounting memos as needed for new acquisitions and accounting positions
  • Support the valuation process of investment properties
  • Monitor public book trades with internal operations teams to ensure accurate reporting

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • CPA required
  • 8-10 years of experience in real estate accounting
  • Strong knowledge US GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in the application of US GAAP standards and accounting principles related to REIT’s
  • Familiarity with Workiva preferred

 

Salary Range: 

$160,000-$180,000
