About the Company:
Our client is a global alternative asset manager specializing in multi-strategy investing, focusing on areas such as credit, real estate, and institutional equities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily accounting, operations, and financial reporting functions
- Review property records to ensure proper consolidation in compliance with GAAP
- Manage the monthly NAV and close process in compliance with reporting deadlines and internal controls
- Coordinate property consolidation with third-party administration
- Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly GAAP financial statements for SEC financial reporting
- Research and prepare technical accounting memos as needed for new acquisitions and accounting positions
- Support the valuation process of investment properties
- Monitor public book trades with internal operations teams to ensure accurate reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA required
- 8-10 years of experience in real estate accounting
- Strong knowledge US GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards
- Proficient in the application of US GAAP standards and accounting principles related to REIT’s
- Familiarity with Workiva preferred
Salary Range:
$160,000-$180,000
