About the Company:
Our client is a financial and real estate services company specializing in equities, investment banking, and fixed income products. The Associate will be responsible for the accounting and finance processes and controls for internal and external financial reporting, regulatory reporting, operations, and product control.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end close and journal entries
- Prepare quarterly financial statements for external financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare monthly and quarterly analytical reporting
- Perform the monthly balance sheet substantiation, evaluate expense accruals, and resolve issues that arise
- Initiate reengineering, improve efficiency, and work with IT on improving systems
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as they arise
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2-3 years of related accounting experience
- Experience in financial services
- Experience within the Big 4 preferred
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills
Salary Range:
$85,000-$95,000
