Compensation Accountant

About the Company:
Our client is a diversified financial services firm offering extensive services to its clients including investment banking, prime brokerage, sales and trading, equity and credit research, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Process monthly compensation entries including payroll, deferred compensation, and other compensation-based accruals
- Process monthly and quarterly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations
- Serve as point of contact for internal and external audit requests and variance analysis
- Generate management reports and compensation projections for multiple businesses
- Monitor and process deferred compensation vesting events including calculating tax obligation, interest accruals, dividend equivalent payout, and submitting approved payment requests to payroll
- Process monthly deferred compensation award reconciliation and expense review
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of related experience at a financial services firm
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables and Macros
- Strong understanding of the month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience using Workday a plus
Salary Range:
$120,000-$160,000
