About the Company:
Our client is an independent CPA firm that provides business consulting support on their financial structures and provides new perspectives on strategies to build a thriving business. The firm is hiring a Controller who will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records.
Responsibilities:
- Developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
- Collaborate with external auditors and other outside parties including valuation specialists to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Providing support to firm leadership, particularly in commercial and financial matters
- Responsible for the firm’s general ledger
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in accounting
- Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking
- Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NAV and STAR is a plus
Salary Range:
$150,000-$225,000
