About the Company:

Our client is an LA-based family office with investments in the public equities and private equities market.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate tracking, processing, communication, and accounting for commitments, capital calls, distributions/realizations, rates of return, expense and income allocations, and ownership percentages
  • Review and interpret outside financial information, including fund/subscription documents to ensure financial terms are aligned with investment team expectations and are accounted for in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and analyze GAAP-compliant fund and investment company financial statements across a myriad of entities, including applicable note disclosures and supporting schedules
  • Facilitate the distribution of and communication around K-1s and other tax documents with key internal stakeholders and investors
  • Assist in the daily execution of a robust system of internal controls
  • Operationalize solutions to enhance, optimize and/or automate recurring accounting activities, including the implementation of any related software
  • Coordinate the submission of timely and accurate regulatory reporting
  • Flexibility to take on special or ad-hoc finance and accounting projects as they arise

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
  • 1-2 years of public accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of fund accounting software packages
  • Experience with multiple asset classes and knowledge of closed-end fund structures
  • Working knowledge of fund accounting software packages and service provider landscape
  • Fully paid benefits package

 

Salary Range: 

$80,000-$90,0000
