About the Company:
Our client is a global alternative asset management firm with $35 billion in AUM with investment strategies including fundamental equities, corporate and structured credit, real estate debt and equity, merger arbitrage, and private investments. The Controller will oversee the financial and regulatory reporting for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all accounting for the GL close process
- Manage and review compilation of segment reporting, footnotes, and other disclosures for parent company public filings
- Lead financial statement preparation, draft disclosures, and coordinate with auditors for the domestic, foreign statutory, and 401K audits
- Develop and prepare analytics for the monthly GL close
- Oversee preparation and filing of periodic and ad hoc reporting
- Research accounting pronouncements and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate complex transactions to develop new accounting controls and analyses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA required
- 8-10 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience at an alternative asset management firm
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience with Workiva Wdesk preferred
Salary Range:
$160,000-$200,000
