About the Company:

Our client is a leading private equity firm with over $85 billion in AUM. With more than 250 companies, their portfolio is extremely diverse, and have offices located in the US and internationally. They are looking to hire a Data Analyst/Developer to join their headquarters in NYC.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on several data warehousing, integration, reporting, and reference data projects
  • Maintain and support ongoing enhancements to existing data pipeline/warehouse/tabular model and associated PowerBI reports
  • Work with the architects and developers providing strong data analysis to determine business objectives
  • Ensure data governance and data integrity through setting up workflows and pipelines
  • Basic data modelling and table design, importing, cleansing, transforming, and validating of data through manual and batch processes
  • Support existing data pulls and integrations from SharePoint, iLevel and other Cloud-based systems using .Net APIs
  • Build new aggregations of diverse data sources into a single repository
  • Data manipulation and cleansing of large excel spreadsheets
  • SQL querying and pivot table/chart creation in excel against the data source

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst/Developer focused role
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong data modeling and database design skills
  • Strong Excel skills including report generation and VBA coding in Excel
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, bi-weekly sprint schedule preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Studio and .Net/C# coding, able to create a simple application
  • Understand data management, data structures and self-service reporting

 

Pluses:

  • Experience working with PowerBI
  • Understanding of OLAP and MDX querying
  • Experience working with ETL tools such as SSIS
  • Reference data project experience

 

Salary Range:

$120,000 – $160,000
