About the Company:
Our client is a leading alternative investment firm with over $160 billion in AUM. The firm invests in credit, fixed income, venture capital, and real estate companies. The Data Science Manager will be responsible for applying advanced analytics and statistical methods to enhance the firms investment strategies and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced analytics to evaluate live investment opportunities, working collaboratively with the portfolio company management teams to enhance business value
- Source, incorporate, and analyze alternative datasets to support investment processes and drive innovation in our private equity business
- Ensure a strong commitment to quantitative methods, algorithmic fairness, and data privacy across all aspects of the data analysis process
- Collaborate effectively with deal teams, portfolio company management teams, and senior management to underwrite investments, enhance operating efficiencies, and identify new value sources
Requirements:
- Master’s degree required in statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- 7-10 years of experience in a data science role
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- A strong foundation in statistics and mathematics
- Prior experience in financial services or consulting, particularly private equity, is strongly preferred
