Fund Accountant

About the Company:

Our client is a private investment firm with over $100 billion in AUM with a focus on global real estate. The position will join the firm’s growing fund accounting and reporting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month end close process and review monthly NAV
  • Oversee external administrator
  • Oversee the audit process and liaise with auditors
  • Review annual financial statements and interpret relevant accounting guidance
  • Evaluate and perform various internal control functions
  • Preparing/reviewing the following types of reporting:
    • Management reporting
    • Investor reporting and presentations
    • Regulatory reporting and filings
    • Performance and risk reporting
    • Portfolio analytics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4 – 6 years of combined experience in public accounting as well as experience at a hedge fund
  • Experience in controls, audits, or working with administrators/service providers, a plus
  • Must possess an understanding of various performance metrics and risk metrics
