Fund Reporting
About the Company:
Our client, a prestigious global asset manager is seeking a Fund Reporting professional to work out of their NYC office.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all aspects of the accounting requirements for the hedge funds managed by the firm including:
o Prepare/review interim and year-end financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP;
o Collaborate across business groups with the Firm (including Tax, Operations, Valuation, Investor Relations, Legal, etc.) and liaise with third-party fund administrator and external auditor.
• Liaise with legal and compliance on regulatory reporting of the funds (including but not limited to, SEC regulatory filings, NFA filings and certain reporting requirements in other countries)
• Collaborate with Risk and a third-party vendor to prepare/review the monthly risk reports
• Be involved with new fund launches and fund restructurings
• Ad-hoc projects requested by senior management
• Think dynamically, collaboratively and strategically to help the team manage risk, enhance processes and solve problems
• Opportunity for exposure to senior members of the management team and investors
Requirements:
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting (CPA strongly preferred)
• 3-6 years of work experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) or public/private mix;
• Experience in audit/accounting within the financial services sector is required;
• Strong data analysis skills/experience;
• Top performer who is highly proactive, well-organized and able to work independently as well as within the team;
• Experience with Geneva is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- $90,000 to 130,000 Base Salary
- 15 to 20% Bonus paid at year end
