Junior Property Accountant

About the Company:
Our client is a large net lease REIT specializing in the acquisition of single-tenant properties with over $20 billion in AUM.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze third-party financial statements by third-party managers; and journalize company books and records
- Reconcile between third-party domestic financial statements and the company’s books and records
- Review variance analysis provided by third-party providers
- Perform accounting close monthly and monthly cash/escrow account reconciliations
- Analyze intercompany and related-party transactions, perform supporting reconciliations, and book complex intercompany journal entries
- Perform balance sheet and income statement variance commentary
- Reconcile bank accounts, escrow accounts, tenant receivables, and other balance sheet accounts
- Assist in fund-level reporting for quarter end and yearend consolidated close processes
- Assist in tracking and monitoring payment of property taxes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, property accounting experience a plus
- In depth experience working with general ledger analysis
- Proficient computer skills –knowledge of JDE accounting system is a plus
- Mixture of public accounting and public company experience is a plus
Salary Range:
$80,000-$90,000
