Network Engineer

About the Company:
Our client is a technology driven, multi-asset investment firm operating on a global scale. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and scaling networks for the firm’s large HPC environments.
Responsibilities:
- Network design, product selection, routing, configuration and troubleshooting
- Closely work with the HPC systems team to scale the research environment
- Overall capacity planning for the data center networks
- Develop scripts and processes to increase efficiency
- Meet with external parties for project related items as well as future endeavors
- Collaborate with others in the network team to solve cross discipline problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field
- 8-12 years of related experience
- In depth understanding of common layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols
- Able to create and maintain clear and effective technical documentation
- Experience managing Arista (EOS), Cisco (NX-OS), and SONiC-based switches
- Experience with public cloud networks, such as AWS, GCP, Azure
- Familiarity with Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub a plus
- Experience with Unix/Linux command line utilities and networking stack
Salary Range:
$200,000-$250,000
