Network Support Engineer

About the Company: 

Our client is a global asset management firm with over $26 billion in AUM that invests in multiple asset classes such as long/short equity, global macro investments, and private investments. The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for mitigating operational issues and assist in the execution of new procedures and implementations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues
  • Partner with our engineering team to develop operational handoff to transition new initiatives into full operational support
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely problem resolution
  • Respond to emergency work requests, troubleshoot network failures and errors
  • Diagnose, isolate, and resolve routine to moderately/highly complex network-related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations
  • Assist with developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems
  • Maintain network monitoring tools to ensure reliability
  • Participate in on-call rotation

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience as a network engineer
  • Strong experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Great experience with F5 Load Balancing and Palo Alto Firewall experience
  • Experience troubleshooting with the ability to diagnose/resolve network system problems

 

Salary Range:

$150,000 – $300,000
