About the Company:

Our client is a special-situations fund focusing on public equities in the US and Europe. The role’s primary responsibility will be supporting the Controller in day-to-day operations, accounting and finance, and will also work directly with the CFO on a variety of items, such as compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily trade operations support including trade monitoring, booking, settlement, and cash management
  • Perform daily profit and loss, position, cash and trade reconciliations between administrator, brokers, and internal systems
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc portfolio analysis and reporting used in investment analysis, risk reporting, due diligence inquiries, and marketing materials
  • Support Controller in maintaining shadow accounting system, consisting of booking and reconciling general ledger entries, capital transactions, and corporate actions
  • Work directly with the investment team to obtain research and create ad hoc presentation materials

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-6 years relevant work experience with exposure to operations and/or accounting
  • General knowledge of hedge funds or financial markets
  • Proficiency with Excel required

 

Salary Range:

$120,000-$130,000
