About the Company:
Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Engineer will be responsible for building the in-house risk management and reporting systems along with integrating and customizing third-party libraries that are critical to the operation of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom risk management and reporting systems
- Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence
- Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Work directly with the business teams to translate requirements into functional applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
- 3-10 years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Python Development or SQL Server Development (preferably both)
- Understanding fundamental design principles and has skill writing clean, readable, smartly commented code
- C#, Java, or C++ experience
- Financial industry/markets experience a plus
- Experience with continuous integration and GIT
Salary Range:
$100,000-$150,000
