About the Company:
Our client is a global alternative asset management firm with $35 billion in AUM with investment strategies including fundamental equities, corporate and structured credit, real estate debt and equity, merger arbitrage, and private investments. The Real Estate Accountant will be responsible for the execution, settlement, accounting treatment, and reporting for the firm’s real estate investments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of fund accounts and respective SPVs
- Prepare and review the monthly close process and the quarterly NAV close process
- Liaise with foreign administrators for the coordination and review of statuary audits, and management of SPVs accounts payable
- Assist in the maintenance, compilation, and review of selected portfolio data
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with ASC 946
- Review profit & loss analytics on real estate investments and prepare quarterly investment performance track records
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 3-4 years of related accounting experience and/or audit experience
- Knowledge of historical GAAP and investment company accounting
- Knowledge of Geneva, Advent, or Workiva a plus
- CPA a plus
Salary Range:
$75,000-$100,000
