About the Company:
Our client, is a leading global independent investment bank with a focus on M&A and Restructuring is looking for a Reporting & Analysis Associate. The ideal candidate comes from the banking space within a rotational program.
Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Management / Revenue Forecasting
- Prepare top line forecasts across all products, regions and sectors of the Firm
- Participate in quarterly and annual revenue updates to facilitate the forecasting processes
- Prepare revenue reports and perform analysis of latest forecast and estimates
- Collaborate with Investor Relations by analyzing Dealogic’s publicly disclosed deal pipeline
- Attend weekly new business review calls
- Coordinate with business managers to stay abreast on the latest deal updates and information
- Coordinate with Accounting on latest revenue bookings, revenue recognition issues and engagement letter interpretation
- Business Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparation of Firm-wide strategy decks, earnings packs, and board presentations
- Define and report on operating metrics and utilize data analytics to create and manage dashboards with visibility into both Firm and banker performance
- Develop customized reporting capabilities for the Business Management group
- Evaluate current reporting needs and execute changes to improve efficiency and data integrity
- Prepare year end banker review materials
- Support business management colleagues as necessary on data management, administration & maintenance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (business major preferred from nationally accredited university)
- 3 years of relevant experience in the professional services industry preferred
- Ability to work in high pressure environment and quickly adapt to changing business needs
- Conscientious and hard working
- Resourceful, problem solver, motivated self-starter, and positive attitude
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong communication skills and comfortable communicating with a wide range of employees
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite – Excel, PPT, Word, etc.); Salesforce is a plus
- Good understanding of investment banking profession and business or willingness to learn
Compensation & Benefits:
- $70,000 – $85,000 Base Salary
