Senior Accountant

About the Company:
Our client is a leading, diversified real estate finance company looking to hire a senior accountant in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure billing statements prepared by the servicer are accurate and verify prompt receipt of payments
- Communicate with servicing for discrepancies and work with Portfolio Management on the management of assets
- Prepare all accounting entries related to assigned areas and ensure the accuracy of accounts and balances
- Prepare monthly variance explanations for significant fluctuations
- Prepare quarterly and year-end financial schedules and related footnotes with strict adherence to departmental deadlines
- Assist with the annual budgeting process
- Make recommendations to improve existing processes
- Assist with special projects/requests as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Must be a CPA or in process of completion
- 2 to 4 years of experience in public accounting and private
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word
- PeopleSoft experience is a plus
- Skilled in the analysis and explanation of variances and the ability to dig into the details to understand financial transactions
Salary Range:
$70,000 – $90,000
