About the Company:
Our client is an alternative investment manager specializing in credit and opportunistic investments for private equity funds. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day- accounting functions for the hedge fund unit of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform primary review of client deliverables related to the NAV process, including financial statements, valuation, and investor statements
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities of the fund, including actively liaising with other areas of the firm
- Perform calculations of complex management fees, incentive fees, and allocations across multiple relationships
- Support the external audit process including financial statement review and ensuring audit requests are provided timely
- Assist with maintaining compliance with relevant accounting and reporting provisions of the governing documents of the funds and investment management agreements
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining appropriate financial controls
- Additional responsibilities include cash management and expense processing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 3-4 years of accounting experience
- At least 2 years of public accounting experience required
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- CPA preferred
Salary Range:
$85,000-$120,000
