About the Company:
Our client is a union association that supports the rights of professional athletes. The Senior Accountant will support the accounting operations within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger and assist in the month-end/year-end close process
- Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with US
GAAP and proper coding - Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Analyze financial results and perform variance analyses
- Prepare and gather documentation for audits and tax filings
- Maintain account balances including reconciling, researching, and resolving all discrepancies
- Maintain and comply with company accounting procedures and internal processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3-4 years of related accounting experience
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, GAAP, and non-profits
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
- CPA a plus
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus
Salary Range:
$95,000-$110,000
