Senior Accounting Manager

About the Company:
Our client is an ultra high-net-worth family office with investment strategies in private equity and real estate. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations over multiple entities at the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual books and records for partnerships, operating companies, and trusts
- Review accounting workpapers prepared for tax return preparation
- Coordinate with private equity fund managers and third-party administrators to obtain financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex investments
- Maintain and enhance internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison to internal tax teams
- Assist with special projects, entity structuring initiatives, and ad hoc reporting requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 10-15 years of related accounting experience at a family office
- Strong accounting knowledge in partnership accounting
- Experience reviewing workpapers for tax return preparation
- Background experience in a private equity, real estate, hedge fund, or public accounting setting
- Experience supervising a staff
