Senior Fund Accountant

About the Company:

Our client is a global alternative asset manager with $700 billion in AUM. They are one of the world’s largest investors in real estate. Their overall portfolio spans multiple facets including multifamily, retail, office, and manufactured housing. The Senior Fund Accounting role will be involved in both traditional accounting responsibilities along with fund operations duties.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Investment Company Accounting
  • Preparation and review of investor reports, capital call and distribution notices
  • Maintain investor commitments and capital account statements
  • Interact with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms
  • Compile, analyze and prepare funds’ financial data and operating metrics
  • Credit facility loan administration and compliance
  • Detailed review of expenses, accounts payable and payments for processing
  • Coordinate with fund administrator for accounting and reporting matters
  • Calculate management fee and waterfall

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably with a CPA
  • Fund administration, accounting or audit experience required
  • Open-end fund experience and private fund Real Estate experience will be a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Understands financial concepts related to investment performance

 

Salary Range: 

$90,000-$105,000
