Senior Tax Specialist

About the Company:
Our client is an asset management and investment advisory firm managing over $14 million in assets across public and private markets.
Responsibilities:
- Function as an in-house expert on sophisticated financial, trust, estate, and gift tax planning matters as well as personal income tax matters and issues for our partners
- Support the firm’s investment advisors in Partner discussions regarding tax-related portfolio and wealth planning topics
- Directly engage with Partners’ personal tax advisors and estate attorneys
- Serve as a liaison with other outside financial planners to help Partners frame the right questions and confirm the suitability of trust and account structures
- Proactively research the tax environment for the Partners in the US and provide updates on proposed tax changes as well as written knowledge briefs
- Provide coaching and training to the firm’s Investment Advisory team regarding tax matters
- Build tax knowledge base in other important jurisdictions, including European countries such as the UK and Germany
- Participate in ad hoc special projects and help develop process improvements related to increasing efficiency of the group
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or taxation
- CPA license or Master’s in tax
- 8-15 years of relevant experience in personal tax, retirement, multi-generational, and estate planning
- Experience in using trust or insurance products for estate planning purposes is a plus
Salary Range:
$150,000-$165,000
