About the Company:

Our client is an SEC-registered investment adviser using a multi-disciplinary strategy making investments in debt and equity of public and private companies, real estate, and other asset classes across the globe. The Senior Valuation Associate will be responsible for assisting in the valuations of various securities, liquid and illiquid, from debt, preferred and common equity.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Closely liaise with the investment team and Director of Valuation to develop, maintain, and analyze valuation models for the firm’s debt and equity positions
  • Drive the onboarding process for new investments and subsequent model updates to ensure proper data collection procedures are in place to support the model’s inputs and key assumptions
  • Analyze financial statements and other relevant financial information of investment companies to monitor performance and update models using standard valuation methodologies
  • Assist in the preparation of valuation committee materials and interact with third-party valuation firms and auditors for quarter-end and/or year-end reviews
  • Prepare initial responses as it relates to investor due diligence requests as well as other ad hoc marketing or investor relations’ questionnaires

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or valuation firm
  • Extensive Excel skills and an understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ

 

Salary Range: 

$110,000-$120,000
