About the Company:
Our client is a technology driven, multi-asset investment firm operating on a global scale. The System Engineer will assist the team with building and maintaining a growing distributed compute cluster, a petabyte-scale storage layer, operating systems, automation software, and development tools.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute technical projects to make the firms trading systems faster, adaptable, and more maintainable
- Manage and optimize large scale distributed compute/HPC clusters
- Automate and troubleshoot a broad range of technical infrastructure
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Assist with operating system installation and upgrades
- Assist with performance testing and tuning
- Script to automate repetitive tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Linux systems
- Python or Shell scripting experience
- Experience and knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu is a plus
Salary Range:
$100,000-$250,000
